Black women are an important part of the development of society. As a whole, Black women are trend setters and set the pace of fashion across all ethnic cultures. Black women are learning to love themselves as the understand the complexity of being a Black women in our present age.
Being the backbone of the Black family and the mothers of Black women and Black people, Black women are finally embracing their melanin, their features, their hair and their amazing bodies that are the envy of women all around the planet. Even Black women want to emulate Black women.
Black women’s hair: Black women are finally beginning to appreciate their curly, nappy hair. Now, more than ever, Black women are embracing their natural hair as we are slowly, yet more quickly, witnessing a decline in hair products such as perms, weaves and wigs. Black women have succeeding in making their own texture hair desirable again which is a sign of self love. Soon, it may be quite possible, that Black women will no longer fill the heavy demand for weaves and wigs. It could be very soon that this so-called fad quickly dies.
Black women’s shapes: Black women have clearly never had a reason to be ashamed of their shapes and curves. Curves have always been favorable in most cultures and races. Black women are still embracing their curves, however, they are now beginning to appreciate other attributes that make them just as beautiful, such as their compassion, nurturing qualities, intelligence and maternal instincts.
Black women’s feminism: Black women of today are dropping feminism, as they now understand that it serves no real purpose other than to destroy. Many Black women are becoming less feminist, and instead are striving to be better wives and mothers, understanding that competing with Black men is senseless and will lead Black people nowhere collectively.
Black women’s motherhood: Black women have always made awesome mothers. Today’s Black women are rapidly understanding that by changing themselves, they will change their children’s perception of the reality around them. By not embracing things that show that they hate themselves, they are expressing to their children that they should love themselves as well. We are past the days where Black children never see their mothers wear their real hair due to the shame involved. This is testimony that when Black women wake up, it starts a compelling awakening within the entire Black race as well as the rest of human kind.
Today in news articles and stories on television, people have been programmed to deny that dark skin women are beautiful. This has effected the rest of the world so vastly.
Society has attacked dark skin black women so much that even black men have begun carrying out a misguided agenda against black women, claiming that they are not beautiful and less of a woman. There have even been popular media channels set up on social networks, where black men have basically set up channels to denounce dark skin women.
The popularity of degrading black women has effortlessly caught on with black men. It appears that even when being black is the butt of a joke, black people participate in an effort to fit in. What is commonly seen and thought of as high school mentality, has apparently shifted to the masses. This time, the joke isn’t about black men. Because black men feel like they are free from this particular attack, some willingly chime in and degrade black women as well, without realizing, that they are secretly the butt of every joke and attack against black people. Sorry brothers, but you have not escaped ridicule.
